Collaborative Residency

I explore "hybridity" in the context of body-to-body and body-to-site interactions. To maintain a fluid artistic methodology and mindset, I actively engage in international collaborations through residencies and festivals. By collaborating and creating with artists from diverse backgrounds, we collectively seek the beauty of the "thirdspace."

Dance & Music & Digital (MDD) International Collaboration

ARTSinTank Dance Festival in Korea (ADFK)

Seoul, Korea Jul 2025

“Technique of Exile” (30 mins)
It is from seeing people too clearly, under their true light, that sooner or later we feel the urge to leave them behind.
Lucidity is a constructed exile, an emergency exit.
Exile is a form of reflection.

Collaborators: Abbey Richens, Alysa Leung, Kyle James Abraham, and David Lavaysse

In this program, we take master workshops and create our own work within 5 days from a sketch. At the end of the festival, we have a performance showcasing our research process with fellow professionals and local dance communities.

Ticino In Dancza Residency/Festival' 24
Ticino, Switzerland, Jul 2024

“Ricorda dove il core e” (Remember where the heart is) is a performative community sharing presented in TICINO IN DANCZA, developed from the cross-generation input from Stabio and the cross-cultural backgrounds of the artists. In the 7 days, we visit a diversity of spaces to share our work, including the psychic centre, a social space on a hill with local elderlies, a plaza, and even a museum. Every public space becomes a place for encounter.

 UNIVERSITY CAFE RESIDENCY
Taipei, Mar 2024

Hong Kong artist Leung Hoi-yee's Open Studio event opens up dialogue through performances, collaboratively exploring the concept of "residency art". What is the relationship between residency art and local creation? Can residency be considered a form of public art? What impact does residency have on personal creative growth? Over the past year, Hoi-yee has participated in residencies and local art festivals in various locations around the world. This Open Studio will start with a demonstration of her residency creation excerpts, combining her experiences from the "University Cafe" residency to share her understanding and imagination of  "residency."

Kunstencentrum BUDA Residency

Kortrijk, Belgium May 2023

"a City, a Girl, a House"
My residency in BUDA (Kortrijk), is an ongoing research on the relations between bodies, cities and homes. The presentation back in the residency is named: "a City, a Girl, a House."  With the deep-mapping method, the research further draws a parallel relationship between motherhood and cities through creative interviews, dance videos and live performances.
